Kyle Williams Bio

Kyle Williams is a trombonist and passionate educator who is committed to helping the next generation of students find their creative niche through music. Born and raised in Baltimore, he attended Towson University where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education in 2011. He later went on to receive his Master’s in Trombone Performance from the University of Delaware in 2014 where he was the Studio Graduate Assistant. While at UD, Kyle had the honor of conducting and performing with the UD Trombone Choir at the International Trombone Festival in Rochester, NY. He was also a winner of the Concerto Competition with the UD Symphony Orchestra.

Since 2009, he has been a private low brass teacher and his students have been accepted into Side by Side, All-County, All-State, and College Music Programs. Mr. Williams is currently finishing his Doctorate of Musical Arts Degree at the University of North Texas studying with Dr. Natalie Mannix and Steve Menard. His doctoral research is focused on creating a comprehensive alto trombone method book. When he’s not practicing, performing, or teaching, Kyle enjoys spending his time outside with his wife playing disc golf and rock climbing.
