🎉Celebrations🎉
Wind Ensemble UIL (this past Wednesday)
These kiddos were undeniable on stage. Congratulations to the Wind Ensemble on a stellar performance at the Arlington CVPA and to Ms. Hermanson on her FIRST EVER UIL performance with students. As one judge said, “the students knocked it out of the park” as well as “I could have told me this was a Varsity level band, and I would have believed you.” Bravi tutti to all! Straight 1s from every judge, which very few bands accomplished at this festival.
Wind Symphony UIL (this past Friday)
Speaking of knocking it out of the park – these kiddos had an incredible performance of one of the hardest programs performed out of the entire festival. One judge said, “you’re on another planet compared to the rest.” Of course, straight 1s from every judge despite the 6:30am call time. Thank you to the booster for providing use with mind blowingly delicious donuts and kolaches for breakfast! With that said, we were all happy with what we accomplished, but not satisfied! We are going to get a second recording of this music on the 25th at the Mansfield CPA along with Timberview High School and Howard Middle School to compete for the title of the best 5A concert band in Texas. Hope to see you there!
Guard Spring Show (this past Friday)
This was such a fun event. I hope everyone who attended could see and feel the love the colorguard has for one another, and the hard work and dedication that our guard staff gives to these kids. Congratulations to the performers, and to the whole colorguard staff that pushes these kids to be amazing performers! Also, your $5 donation will go to help the colorguard purchase new poles and silks for next year! Thanks for attending!

✈️2024 Possible Spring Trip✈️
Currently, we are in the research phase to get a quote for a 2024 Spring Trip to our nation’s capital, Washington, DC! Possible dates would be Wednesday March 6th to Sunday March 10th . This is still in the VERY early stages, but in the effort of transparency, I’ll be working on this! Sights we requested to see was the African American History Museum, The National Holocaust Museum, the Air and Space Museum, The Natural History Museum, a tour of the capital, and a night tour of all of the national war memorials. Once I get a quote, surveys will be sent out for interest!
Thanks for reading. Have a terrific week!
