STAAR Pep Rally at Charlotte Anderson
Members of the percussion section went down to motivate our little future Jags to do well on their standardized testing. They represented Summit so well and we are proud of what they did! Impressive job Mr. Solis and the percussion section!
Percussion Concert
This was a blast! We had members of Cross Timbers IS, Howard MS, and of course our Summit HS percussion students put on a fabulous concert. This was the first percussion concert in SIX YEARS at Summit HS. The last time this happened, our seniors were in 6th grade! Not only did the students show off their talents, but Mr. Solis flexed his organizational muscles and kept that concert flowing with little to no downtime. If you missed it, join us next year because these kids are TALENTED!
Leadership Interviews
We were SO impressed with the students who interviewed for a leadership position which made this the most difficult team to put together ever. Full disclosure, the directors took until midnight to make our decisions, but what resulted was a lean, strong leadership team. The team will be announced tomorrow (Monday!!)

✈️2024 Possible Spring Trip✈️
Washington, DC seems to be moving forward. This coming week, I will send out a google survey with details on the trip that I will need filled out by the end of the week to see if you are interested! The condensed version, with an estimated cost of flights at $600 (which should go down) the cost of the trip will be around $1,500 (cheaper if flight costs go down) for our 4-night, 5-day stay in DC. Payments will be about $225 monthly. The trip would be March 6th – March 10th, 2024.
